Mention the words “face” and “oil” in the same sentence and many will run a mile, after all, no one wants their skin to look like an oil slick, but did you know that if you use the right oil blend for your skin type, it will be absorbed quickly and won’t leave your face looking shiny? Oils (lipids) naturally occur in the skin and provide a barrier to keep moisture in and protect the skin from the elements, however as we age, our skin doesn’t produce as many lipids, leading to dehydration and an increased occurrence of wrinkles – bad news! In saying that, there are some oils with a high comedogenic rating to steer well clear of as they can clog pores – it goes without saying, we don’t use any of those oils in our products.
